Here is a group of some of my watercolour paints, including those I made with
New Zealand pigments that I collect near where I live in the South Island. I have some really old tubes and pan sets, so I was very interested to see how they looked. The Winsor & Newton tubes were solid, so I cut them open - they worked fine! The Marie's Chinese painting colour is rather like gouache, and I had not used it before (received it a few years ago).
I find doing the complementary exercise difficult, this image is my best attempt. I never make enough of the secondary colour!
