A Wooden Cabin in the Forsaken Woods

A Wooden Cabin in the Forsaken Woods - student project

In the heart of the dark, forsaken woods stands a wrecked wooden cabin with its roof caved in. A lonely chimney, long abandoned, sticks out from the ruins. Four pale windows and a blind attic eye stare into the shadows. Tall trees crowd around it, making the cottage seem even smaller. Through the tangled branches, a small gap lets a sliver of light fall onto the broken home, giving it a strange, uneasy glow.

Once, a small family lived here—a father, a young mother, and their bright-eyed daughter. But war took the father away, and he never came back. Grief filled the mother. She couldn’t take it anymore and ended her own life, leaving the child alone.

No one ever found the girl. Some say the spirits of the woods took her in. Others whisper that if you stay too long near the cabin, you might still hear a child’s laughter drifting through the trees.
