Before I shoot, I always begin with the light. Where is it falling? How is it dancing through the trees? For today's photo walk it's golden hour… My favorite time to shoot. I did a couple of test shot but could not resist the backlighting effect to add more magic into my shot. 

Next I try to apply the storytelling framework (wide, medium, close up) to capture the essence of this golden afternoon walk 💖

Then I apply composition techniques to make each shot intentional but I still try my best to be present and really let go of perfection :)

These photos exceeded my expectations (and makes my heart melt). I was hoping to get decent iPhone photos not just to share for my class project but also to romanticize my life and what when I checked my camera roll I was really surprised. After a few edits I was able to bring how I envision our simple and ordinary afternoon walks to life. <3
