A Good Day for Roaming Patterns

A Good Day for Roaming Patterns - image 1 - student project

This class gave me so much knowledge and motivation. Helen Bradley is a great artist and teacher.

It is so interesting to see the expression of the pattern – only by changing a little color here and there or changing the angle. It was really difficult to finally stop with creating for this presentation because with every detail I added, new possibilities showed up

Left I added an accent color. Right added some additional accent forms in silver gradient and a subtle background.

Only by turning the pattern, appears like a 3D-effect. Right, I added a little accent which is basically placed rhythmically but appears as random. (The left one aligns vertically not perfect – will be fixed :-))

Left: 2 accent colors. Right: 3 accent colors, the pattern is mirrored vertically, and again the 3D-effect appears.

I am really happy with this technique and look forward to continuing in this style. Thank you so much for this awesome class, dear Helen!
