A Few More Before/After Examples

I’ve gathered a few more examples that didn’t make it into the main class video but can still be really helpful.

We’ve talked about how important it is to find good lighting. In this photo, you can see a little corner of my windowsill that once became my photo spot for several months:

If you don’t like how your work looks in a photo taken right at your desk/workspace, try different spots in your home. For example, with this seagull watercolor, I didn’t like how the colors looked and couldn’t fix it in a photo editor. So first I made a scan, and then I tried photographing it in another place.

And in general, if you’re not satisfied with the indoor lighting (too dark or the light falls awkwardly), it’s a great idea to go outside and take the photo there:

And here’s an example of how simple color correction can make a photo much more appealing.
