Well, I just planned to pop in to watch the introduction of this class last night, but I was so hooked that I watched it all in one go! And when I woke up this morning, I couldn't wait to try Michelle's method! 

I love this unique approach to abstract painting. Using initials really did help me get over my fear of the blank page. I used a big capital A and a few lower case Ns because Ns are some of my favourites to write. 


Since I only have primary colours in acrylic, I decided to use my acrylic gouache instead. I used a mixture of Holbein Acrylic Gouache, Turner Japanesque Colours, Clear Gesso, Ivory Posca Pen, white gel pen, a dark blue pen from Muji and a coloured pencil.
