I'm relatively new to crochet and found this project easy and fun!  I was so happy to find a way to reuse my plastic bags. I was also surprised with how nice it looks and how cushy the plastic bags are. I made seven increase rounds to get the width I needed for a 9" pot using a 11.5mm crochet hook. Love how everything turned out.  :)
