For this invitation, I opted to design for a 5th birthday party. My illustration features five playful young mermaids enjoying the festivities. They represent the number 5 for the fifth birthday and also follow the Rule of Odds, which is a principle that suggests that compositions are more pleasing to the eye when they feature an odd number of elements. The mermaid scene forms an oval border around the text. For Typography, I opted for a whimsical, playful script (Heritage), and paired it with the hand-crafted sans serif (Frontage) for the party details. I incorporated a third font (Mrs. Eaves) for the secondary information.
