#100days

Hello, the 100-day challenge is really something great!!!
Mine was supposed to be everyday, something that builds habits. It will develop skills.
There were a few days during which I really couldn't do it. I was consistent. I was very strict about it. I spent a lot of time on themes, story coherence, and details.
I achieved my goal of 84 days out of 100. I started on February 12 and finished on May 18, 2024.
I wrote most of my comments while doing the challenge and I won't go back to it. I finished my challenge ahead of time. It exhausted me completely. I wasn't far from my goal, but I must admit that I couldn't look at the sketchbook anymore. So much so that I didn't care about completing the goal.
When I was making my target, I had no time and no desire to learn, that was what bothered me the most. Of course, I discovered my potential. I am very satisfied with what I can do.
Writing with hindsight after more than half a year. I would approach such a challenge again and probably similarly... but I would exchange it for weekly challenges, i.e. a free weekend to do other things.
Have I started drawing more since then? NO :)
Have I gained more self-confidence? yes :)
Best regards and closing the task

Week 12

#100days - image 1 - student project

Since the number of photos is large, I created a separate place in my profile for each week .

Week 11, topic japaneese art

77 days behind me hahah I've had enough. I don't feel like painting at all! I even thought that I would like to go back to making jewelry.
This week I seriously thought about stopping the challenge. This week was the hardest so far. I think you can see it in the drawings. I'm so close to 100 days... it's only 23 days left or maybe that much...
Conclusion I feel that the development was up to 8-9 weeks.

Last application for today. When I look through the sketchbook... I see these pictures and they are all very beautiful... despite the flaws and inaccuracies in some of them... maybe it will give me wings to complete 100 days

10 week

Ornaments in the Art Nouveau style

#100days - image 4 - student project

Crisis of will and crisis in general. Comparing yourself to others is always bad. I won't bore you. This week is an easy topic week. Ornaments in the Art Nouveau style. I'm in such a crisis that I only make a sketch. I plan to strengthen it with a waterproof marker and then add color. The sun came out and it was wonderfully warm and I guess that's distracting.

week 10 Summary: impatience and crisis. I hoped that by this time I would get used to it so much that it would not be a challenge but just an ordinary activity. Unfortunately not . This week I stuck to trivial sketches, at the end of the week I corrected them with a fineliner and applied paint. 30 more days.

8week   lighthouses

I started a new week. Possibly two weeks. I'm thinking about combining lighthouses and boats... I love this topic and it may be a great two weeks. When I was painting the lanterns, I thought that this halfway gave me a lot. I make sketches faster, take out the paints and just paint. However, sometimes I think but I don't want to. Fighting this is not easy, but it is possible. However, I feel that this is something big that is happening and I don't want to stop it.

 50th picture today! ! ! 50 days behind me. I'm halfway there!!!#100days - image 11 - student project

Yesterday I had a bad day, I sketched two lanterns and today I painted them. A small concession. I'm going away for a few days this weekend, I'm afraid I won't be able to... but I will take the supplies with me.

Summary of the week. I made some concessions. When I really didn't have time or conditions to paint, I made sketches for two days, and on the second day I painted both. I think it's fair: I did something every day. this is a better solution than doing nothing.

7 week ocean "pets"

#100days - image 14 - student project

The week with fish was so fascinating that I extended it a bit. Although I was thinking about extending my watercolor painting, I finally found an interesting lesson on skillshare and used it this week. This week was a bit of breath and freshness. I worked much faster than with paints. My conclusion is that it is worth dividing this 100-day challenge into stages. I was asked why I don't paint something different every day. A mental challenge for me. First of all, I want to prove to myself that I can work every day. That systematicity (not only in painting) can be developed, not waiting for inspiration, but doing it. The stages (I don't know if I wrote it down yet) relieve me of counting down the task to the end of 100 days and only allow me to celebrate the end of the work by choosing the next topic.

6 week day2 and 3

Sketchbook consists of sketches of one attempt, I can't throw them away or cut them out.
Yesterday I painted a navy blue fish (Balistoides conspicillum), and it looks terrible... to improve myself, I used the "cecilieo" guide, I have many shortcomings, I have to coordinate the pace of painting every day with courses and lessons. I don't know how yet :P

5 WEEK glass

Today I finished 7 days of glass transparency. In this application of classes yourselfmi Evgenia Cordie. This was a difficult topic for me. I admit that I want to repeat each of these windows. The fish was funny, the bottles were interesting. However, a bottle with oil, a jug of lemon... I really wanted to show how glass bends and distorts objects. Honey absolutely defeated me, it turns out that when something does not have straight lines and angles, it defeats me...

The week is over, tomorrow it's time to start a new topic. However, my conclusions...
I think I've written this before - the project absorbed me completely. I always did 2-3 courses on skillshare on weekends, now I don't feel like looking at them ;P I have so many of them, I'm looking through them, but I spend so much time painting throughout the week that I don't have the enthusiasm.

If I were to plan such a challenge again, I would leave the weekend free for courses. I spend a lot of time on each job, about 1.5 to 2 hours, or 10 to 14 hours a week. This is actually my success... Sometimes I think I can't cope anymore. hahah . This week I also posted my challenge on Instagram. Your entries motivate me, thank you for reading what I write and what I post here. It means a lot to me and I think I want to continue it more :) ok...1/3 of the challenge is 35 days away!!!

Day 2

Week 4 is vintage week. I started it yesterday... the phone was a complete failure in my opinion. I've improved it a bit, but I completely messed it up. Today I approached it with a new eye, without being nervous, I'm trying to give it a dusty life. I want the drawings to be newspaper-like. I will use a gray purple color. Recently I bought kuratake tambi graphite, they are all dark, subdued, depressing and wonderful at the same time. I sewed my sketchbook from two types of paper. This one is more rough dark. This cheap paper has a low grammage of 190 and I really love it. Perfect for the task

3 week coffee

 I declare week 3 closed

Coffee is my favorite topic :D, but also the week with the biggest mistakes. The last glass of iced coffee turned out to be wrong and the coffee maker was crooked. Unfortunately. Tomorrow I'm starting a new topic. There are two topics on my mind. We'll see tomorrow.

My elaborate work plan keeps falling apart. I have another day overdue. Family or health issues postponed the plan again by one day. It's week 3 and I'm postponed by a few days. According to the first plan, I should start a new project on Sunday. It turned into Wednesday. When I paint and decide on a specific topic, it's fantastic. Although I admit that I have less desire to do other courses on weekends. I'm reluctant to do so. I even thought about giving up the challenge. There were supposed to be different techniques and ideas, but for now I stick to what I know and I don't go beyond my comfort zone because I'm afraid that my sketchbook page will look bad#100days - image 38 - student project#100days - image 39 - student project

2 week

Week two didn't go so smoothly. I was away for 3 days and had no opportunity to paint,I didn't expect this at all. I only caught up today. So my 100 days will get longer. Tomorrow I'm starting a new topic

-----------------------

This is my second week... it will mostly be about kitchen topics. I broke the kettle yesterday. tilted too little, but that's okay. Although I tried to improve it today, but it was not very effective#100days - image 42 - student project

1 week(18-24/02) #100days - image 49 - student project
The goal of my project is, of course, to improve myself. Developing habits of sketching, painting, using various techniques and repeating what I learned in classes.
I did not specify the time for preparing the works.
I focused on miniatures. This time I chose watercolors about the window.
The first week was pleasant. I admit that the time spent on work was long, even 1.5 hours, but pleasant and satisfying. (I don't include the time spent looking for the perfect photo for work)... well, the time to look for a photo that is pleasing to the eye and matches the rest of the photos was quite long. Irritating . I thought that when I set myself a general topic, I would do it faster, but unfortunately I got lost in the depths of pinterest. The length of painting the works was absolutely not a problem for me, but finding photos was. I need to work on this.
I didn't choose a topic for week 2. I painted cups... it was supposed to be porcelain, but maybe I could add coffee and tea themes? Well, my problem, apart from being systematic, is certainly the problem with making decisions

I'm on skillshare to train my artistic skills. I'm sticking with it. During Barbara Luel's classes, I had a fantastic time working on thumbnails. I am perfectly aware that only by practicing we achieve skill.

Of course, I am afraid that I won't be able to cope... but without anticipating the facts:

I set myself weekly goals. Theme and technique. I will change it to avoid boredom. I have social media, but I have a problem with advertising myself, so I don't plan on posting it online. Maybe I'll post a weekly report here. One of the biggest hurdles is coming up with ideas for the thing you're doing.
This is interesting because I actually have a problem with this. However, yesterday I sat down for 15 minutes while doing something else and wrote down at least 15 more or less complicated topics. keep fingers crossed
