‘Leaf-ing’ things messy

This is the first exercise in Teela's class "Intro to Messy Watercolors in Procreate."  I have some experience in conventional watercolors and have recently discovered doing digital watercolors with Procreate on my IPad.  What fun.  What I attempted to do with this was what I would have done approaching it with watercolor paper, a brush and watercolor pigment - loose, drips, splatters and an initial background wash with the layers of leaves on top. The brushes that Teela has developed are really interesting and have so many possibilities.  I did use some drips and splatters from another class available on SkillShare.

I'm working with an IPad Pro 13" (M5) and have found that some of the gestures mentioned in this class don't work exactly like they are explained. For example, when choosing layers, the layer is displayed at the top of the window and not under the finger when the area is pressed on the screen.

Looking forward to working on the next exercise!

Thanks, Teela!
