- Milestone 1: First up, join embroiderer Danielle Clough in Painting with Thread: Modern Embroidery for Beginners, a Skillshare Original. Known for her groundbreaking techniques and nontraditional materials, Danielle walks you through preparing your needle, thread, and fabric; basic stitches for creating different textures and dimension; and her signature (surprisingly simple) color-blending technique. Share a photo of your embroidery in the Project Gallery by June 15th.
- Milestone 2: Next up, join illustrator, painter, and all around creative Peggy Dean in Embroidery on Photographs with 10 Simple Stitches. In this class you’ll apply your new skills to a fun and interesting project. You’ll learn several styles of photo embroidery (mark-making, color fill, and adding unusual objects), and how to embroider photographs without damaging or tearing the image. Share a picture of your embroidered photo in the Project Gallery by June 29th.
