Workshop Timeline:

Milestone 1: First up, we’ll take Learn Adobe Illustrator: Fundamentals for Beginners with designer Anne Bracker. You’ll learn how to customize your workspace and speed up your workflow with keyboard shortcuts, then we’ll dive straight into the three core elements of Illustrator: shapes, paths and type. Then, you’ll create your own graphics and share them in the project gallery by February 1st.
Milestone 2: Next, we’ll go deeper into Illustrator’s powerful suite of tools with Illustrator Basics: The Pen and Pencil Tools from Dylan Mierzwinski. In this class, Dylan shares how you can create simple and free-form shapes with ease by using these two popular tools. You’ll put your skills into practice by illustrating a magic potion bottle. Share your project in the project gallery by February 10th.
Milestone 3: Lastly we’ll complete Adobe Illustrator: Give the Pen Tool a Day Off. In this class, designer Hayden Aube will take you through a few less commonly-used tools and techniques that will give you new ways of approaching your work. For your project, you’ll create any illustration you want (without using the pen tool!) and share it in the class project gallery by February 20th.
