Illustrating concepts is different than painting from observation. You have to rely not only on what you see but also memory and interpretation. Our pre-conceptions create a color overlay in the design process. It is these idiosyncrasies that we will further explore.
This workshop is all about painting concepts using mobile technology. In order, to get comfortable on the tablet we will also be using another medium.
Requirements for this workshop…
- A Tablet/Stylus
- The Procreate or Paper By Fifty Three app
- Your choice of medium either- watercolor, acrylic, or marker
Purpose
- Create a series of paintings from a prompt on both a tablet as well as on traditional mediums
- Learn to anticipate how different tools will impact a painting
- Build an abstract concept library
- Learn first-hand how technology can benefit or hinder your painting skills
