Would you like to take your watercolour painting skills to the next level? In this class, we learn to create gorgeous textures that will elevate your watercolor art, and the best part is we will use simple household materials to achieve that! This class is perfect for all skill levels; if you’re a beginner, fret not; I have added the basic techniques to get us started in no time! If you’re an intermediate artist, these experiments are sure to spark creativity :) Watercolours are a unique medium that lends a soft, beautiful dream-like effect; however, this medium is equally capable of offering bold, beautiful and evocative textures. All the textures that we learn in this class can be scanned and used for illustration purposes or make a beautiful backdrop for wet on wet watercolour projects too! By the end of this class, we will be painting a watercolour texture chart (the template is provided in the project resources section) to document our experiments and learnings. This class will fill you with sheer joy as each textural exploration will unfold; I look forward to seeing you in the class!
