Calligraphy is so wonderful for personalised projects! When you've developed some skills, you can apply them to presents for family and friends. Everyone will be amazed at what you've created for them. The class project is an anniversary card but you can adapt for any occasion: weddings, birthdays, new home, new baby, thank you cards....the list is endless.
This class covers the foundations of Italic Calligraphy. We'll be going in detail to the letterforms and relationships between them.  
Calligraphy can help to slow you down and become more mindful. Calligraphy is a great way to stop, slow down and de-stress.

Italic Calligraphy is elegant and versatile and has many variations. You can take this class as a beginner or as an improver if you have some experience already.
We'll start with basic strokes that will enable you to get used to the nib an feel the ink on the paper before engaging your brain in letter shapes.
Then each letter will be covered in detail and you'll see how letters are based on similar shapes.
The minimum you'll need to take this class is a broad edged nib in a nib holder, ink and paper, ruler and pencil.
After some practice you can start to apply your knowlege to a project.
