I'm Charmaine, artist and arts educator... living an art-full life fueled by caffeine and beach dreams!

After retiring from a forty year career in education in 2017,  I realized that I was not ready for a life of leisurely luncheons and golf outings. I'm sure the fact that I've never even played golf might have something to do with that! 

When I'm not busy working on my painting and printmaking, I enjoy spending time in my flower gardens, walking the lovely trails in our nearby parks, and taking the photographs that provide the inspiration for my artwork and the jewelry designs that I sell as CBoggsArt and Magpie Mimi Designs on Etsy. 

When I plan a Skillshare class, my goal is to make art accessible for all ages and skill levels.

Beginners are always welcome! Because I enjoy working with a variety of art materials, you'll find that many of my Skillshare classes focus on mixed media art making... combining printmaking, stenciling, and stamping with more traditional drawing and painting techniques. Class projects are open-ended to allow for creative exploration with the materials and techniques that are presented in the class. 

The main objective is always to have fun! Every piece you create may not be a masterpiece, but if you're having fun and stretching your creative muscles, you will have succeeded.

Although most Skillshare students are adults, several of my classes are easily adapted for sharing with school age children. I have also started sharing tutorials especially created for sharing with children on my YouTube Channel.
