As a mixed media artist with over three decades of experience, I'm deeply passionate about two things: creating beautiful, opulent artworks and inspiring you to unleash your creativity. In this eight chapter of our adventure—Transformative Power of Shapes in Collage—we’ll explore shapes from different angles and experiment with composition techniques to stretch your creative boundaries. Whether you're drawn to abstract arrangements, organic designs, or structured forms, these prompts encourage you to express your artistic voice using the language of shapes.
About the Class Art journaling offers a unique space for personal expression, where you can create without the constraints of judgment or external expectations. In this class, we’ll start by using various geometric shapes to compose a visually harmonious and dynamic collage in Day 50: Geometric Symphony.
Then, we’ll be onto creating organic patterns using water spray with various inks in Day 51: Organic Abstract Design. In Day 52, we’ll take on the challenge of a Minimalist Collage, using only a few select shapes in a limited colour palette, embracing simplicity to convey a powerful visual message. 
Designing a collage using repeating patterns of shapes, is in store for Day 53: Repetition &amp; Rhythm. Then, Day 54: Urban Geometry, we’ll draw from the inspiration of the geometric shapes found in urban architecture and cityscapes. Incorporating elements like building facades, windows, doors, to capture the essence of the city.
Day 55: Inspiration of the Master Matisse, we’ll be looking at the shapes Matisse created in his collages, cutting out our own organic forms and designing them into pleasing compositions. To finish off the class, Day 56: Shapes in Style &amp; Contrast, we’ll be using any or all of the week’s prompts to create our collage art journal page. I love this lesson the best because we can use all of our favourite papers and textures accumulated through the class.
