What are you trying to accomplish with your writing?

I’m looking to find my voice, improve content & delivery, & mostly pay for experiences I would like to on my own.

 

What did and did not work well for you in the past year?

Creative writing didn’t work at all, neither did fiction of any kind. Poetry makes me happy, so I would like to continue it, but all in all, I am a non -fiction, culture and tech writer with little bias and an acute sense of when to keep essays interactive and not. My blog has suffered for not having recognized my skill of narrating my own stories/experiences well.

 

What type of writing will you do?

I will travel-blog, write poetry and write essays and explainers for concepts I would like to know better myself. Curating content will be a by-product of creating the explainers I mentioned earlier.

What’s your budget?

My budget is INR 6000 a month to offset

1. Focused writing times at cafes
2. A blog hosting platform
3. Courses and classes on subjects/ languages to learn
4. 2k per month for trips/ experiences

 

What one thing needs to happen to consider the year a success?

Being featured as a writer on Arre/ The Scroll/ The Quint/ Poetry reviews.
