Impressionist Landscapes - Atmospheric Perspective - Creating Depth

<p>Woww!! You really created a lovely sense of atmosphere Manh! I know it was a pretty challenging composition but it looks so great! And your distant building has great color. One of the most challenging things about painting atmosphere is that it really changes the color from what we "know" something should be (the local color) and the color of the atmosphere (the perceived color). Sometimes mixing these colors is a big challenge because we are actually arguing between what our brain "knows" and our eyes "see." So you did a really great job muting your colors for the more distant features and using more chroma in the foreground. Really excellent, keep it up!! I can tell you are a serious painting and I'm seeing a lot of progress!</p>

Thanks very much Rachael! I could feel that i'm improving too, thanks to your classes. Not only that I learn the techniques but also things like atmospheric effects, balance, compositions - all of which are very useful not only for making a painting but also to appreciate a piece of art work. I think i've become a lot more knowledgeable from watching your classes. Thanks so much and look forward to more classes.

<p>Took me forever to paint this but glad I finish it.
