1) Based on Your Understanding of Leadership What are the Top 5 Qualities a Team Leader Should Have?

a)- A positive attitude to inspire your team

   -enthusiastic to motivate your team to adopt and achieve the vision.

   -be a master of communication

   -have an open mind and good work ethic to lead by exmaple

   -confident

2) Now on a scale of 1 to 10 where would you place Yourself on these Qualities?

a)- 5

3) In the next 6 Months Where would You like to see yourself on these same parameters on a scale of 1 - 10?

a) 10/10!

4) What are the Qualities that you need to work on to reach that scale?

a)- drown out the negative and flip the culture around, address the morale issues head on and stop avoiding them

   - be direct with management and build the team vision and team document and share target structure with the team

   -get the training documents completed, printed and organized for due diligence and communication

   -ask for feedback and participation from the team

   -go with the flow and focus on my state, getting into a great state and transferring that to the team.

5) What were your Top 5 Learnings from the course.

a) 1: dont assume you have a team until the group agrees its a team!

2: a team should create its own team identity and vision

5: Conflict management- you must manage the members of your team or you wont have a team!


Project 2:

Assume you are a Team Leader of a Newly Assigned Team of Call Center Advisors.

As a Leader What Strategies of Form, Storm, Norm and Perform would You Use (3 Points Each) to Get your Team Perform to their true potential. (Hint: Take Help from the Lecture on Establishing Your Team from the Course)

a) FORM- introductions and ice breakers, a break down of role explanation

- build the team document including a vision, expectations and development goals

- form an identity; team name, social calendar ie. themed lunches and outings, team sports or hobbies

STORM- confront any differences, allow a safe space for healthy communication

-conflict management; revisit vision

- clarify targets and expectations

NORM- address the road map to reach team goals

-reviews

-constructive criticism and positive recognition

PERFORM- reward success in timely manner

-notify management so team gets recognition they deserve

-review and assess
