places I've been, things I've seen

Milwaukee, Wisconsin
I love the symmetry of photos taken in "square" format. It's the default setting on my iPhone camera. It's a fun challenge to incorporate the rule of thirds this way.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Basilica of St. Josephat. So many mind-blowing photo opportunities here.

Dad's backyard, golden hour.

Elkader, IA on my birthday. I have a weakness for POV photos of my feet/other objects, whatever they may be.

Friend's harmonica, resting on his inherited piano. Tricky editing this. Not sure I'm satisfied with it completely. I love the textures.

On a tree branch in a cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa. Angles.

Friend's van when he visited last summer. I included this one mostly for the editing. I like to be unconventional sometimes. There is a lot of warmth to this, but just enough contrast - to me. It just felt right, so I went with it.

Galena, Illinois. I simply adore this photo. That's all.
I edited all of these in Adobe Lightroom on my phone, so I'm a little nervous that, depending on a viewer's system settings, they might look different when viewed on a laptop or tablet. However, it was my first time using Lightroom, and I had fun!
I've been taking photos for years - it's a huge passion of mine. I like to think I have the "eye" for photography, that it comes naturally to me...
I think I have covered every, or almost every, element in these photos that were covered in the videos. I had fun with this.
