Watercolor Techniques: Easy Detailed Step by Step Sunflowers

This is a great painting Melissa. Be it watercolor, gouache or you sketching skills (your beautiful eye), you are growing as an artist. In reference to the comment your wrote me, the word “bad” does not exist with art. What we create is a journey through the world we experience. Oh wow Melly this is so beautiful!! I love that you painted more sunflowers and that you practiced painting them in different directions. One can learn so much from shifting the position of a subject matter. I also think turning this into a loose landscape painting was such a great way to personalize it. It looks like you used some black ink to sharpen your shadows? Nice! The fact that this painting was inspired by Italian poetry makes it all the more romantic! Thanks so much for sharing!!
