I painted over the page with yellow and blue paint and then cut the page into strips using choppy edged scissors and wove in strips from a page from National Geographic magazine.  Framed the edges with more Nat. Geo page strips.  I found an excellent book that lies flat, has no sheen and the cover is hard bound and fabric covered so will be easy to cover.  love the process so far
