a glowy procreate mushroom + a rainbow

A first try with a very interesting result! Tough to stop adding little stars…. lol

I have an idea for a more complete project I will attempt tonight. Will share if it pans out!

Fun class Marie Noelle. Thank you!a glowy procreate mushroom + a rainbow - image 1 - student project

This was a little fun, a little frustrating… lol

I didn’t quite know the result I was looking for, but I had quite a bit of fun practicing the glowy effects…. and finding out by accident how to group layers! that was helpful! lol

Edit: a rainbow addition

I first started by drawing a rainbow, each color on its layer.

I then duplicated layers to add the glowy effect. Playing with it to try the different effects Marie Noelle shares with us.

I ended up with something a little subtle.

Didn’t quite know where to go from there… But it wasn’t as “glowy” as I thought. Though I still didn’t know what I was trying to do.

So I decided to “slim” the different color layers, so that there would be a gap and perhaps the glow would show in between them.

And reused the glowy layers to add some glow.

Played some more to change the order of the layers, and this is where I got a little overwhelmed…. to many options with Procreate! lol

The possibilities and undo buttons being right there…. such a different feeling from sticking some paint on the page that cannot be removed!

In the end, this was a fun little exploration. I might keep playing with it to see what more can happen with this.
