Workbook- Inspire Confidence and Passion

My Passions
This course reminded me that I do have passions. I may be new to this aspect of my industry, but my role as a leader requires me to rediscover personality traits in myself to inspire the team to meet our targets.
I am passionate about communication, and I hope my habits and ideas inspire other crews to communicate. I will continue to try!
I am passionate about my personal growth and helping others. I will attempt to get to know the goals of my team and see if there is anything I can do to help them reach those goals. I personally will document my goals with this training and reflect on them so my new habits become autonomous.

Core Values
My duty and obligation is to protect my crew from the hazards and educate them on the risks and protections in place that they work with every day. Competency training and safety is not something I would ever back down on, and finding a way to meet our targets in the safest and most efficient way is my daily juggle.

3 Leaders That Inspired Me, the Qualities they had that helped me grow:
-Smiling, happy and funny. They took the time to get to know me and pulled me out of my shell.
-Active listener, brainstormed ideas with my on my problems and helped me in some way that was above and beyond their role.
-They recognized my talents and trusted me to complete a task or perform a job on my own.

Bad Leadership Habits:
-Gossiping and talking negatively about management or crew members
-Aggression and inappropriate remarks
-Publicly belittling and bullying
-Blaming others and not sharing credit

Conflict
The phase our team is in right now is the current conflict at hand. I need to work with the crew to create a team identity and clearly define the companies' vision and our roles and expectations within that vision. We have a pretty diverse crew and its quite small, but there are minor things we can adapt into our crew to make it feel like a team and that we work competently towards our targets. Effectively communicating what management expects from us to the rest of the team IS all of our shared interest, and understanding that each one on our team learns and works in their own way Empathy is how I inspire them to do their work so that we reach our daily targets, which are moving goal posts.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this information. It did inspire me! My most inspiring quote from the workbook

"'To achieve great things, two things are needed; a plan, and not quite enough time.'"
