Hi Ken, I think your tree struggle might just be the colour of the shading on your tree. Try to make it a little bluer and a little more definite. Really like the shadows on your grasses and your sky is lovely except that the pink is a bit centered. I'm going to get picky here cause I think you are a keener and really want to learn. A little lifting on the light side of your fence posts would make them less stiff. You can do this with a clean thirsty brush and just scrub a few strokes and then blot with a paper towel or clean rag. Clean your brush often. Looks like you left out the shading on the snow on the fence. Nice cozying in of the corners of your painting. About your mountain peaks...I can see you did adjust the height and angles but they are all approx. the same 1 inch template. Does that make sense? If you fold your paper towel into different width triangles, that might help them look more believable. You got the shading on the right side but it is a little dark. Softer would make them more in the distance. Overall, it's a nice cool winter scene, definitely gets the feel across to the viewer. Good work! And thanks for taking my class.

Really struggled trying to get an authentic looking snow covered tree.
