Windfall apple
I think this class came at just the right time as I'm looking to explore a few different mediums. I thought your class was a wonderful gentle introduction to this medium and I felt inclined to start with something quite basic.
I probably applied it too watery to begin with as I'm used to mixing colours like that. As that first layer dried I placed much dryer brush strokes using it wet on wet and eventaully adding highlights towards the end in very thick strokes.
I also tried a 'negative version' where I looked at the shape of the apple from a differnt angle. I may have overworked it somewhat as I lost the clean white edge on the right hand side.
Overall I was pleased for a first attempt at this apple, whilst I became used to working in this manner with a stiffer brush. I'd really love to take time out to do a series of these like you did with the peach study so I can play and understand better gouache better.
