A woman with no memory of her past rides into the town of Willowdale where she is taken care of by the common folk. She and the blacksmith, Elric, fall in love. She’s torn between love and learning who she really is. When she learns of the fellow who rode alongside her into town is still there she goes to investigate. Learning her name and her origin has put everyone around her in danger. When a stranger comes to Willowdale, she must choose between Elric and the life she left behind.

Raina comes to Willowdale with no knowledge of whom she is or where she is from. She’s taken in by the common folk and taken care of. As she grows to love the town, she also grows to love Elric, the blacksmith. When she learns of the fellow who rode into town with her, she seeks him out. He has information about her and she must decide whether she wants to learn about her past or not. When a stranger comes to Willowdale seeking her out, she finds that she is a danger to all and must choose between the life she’s made and the life she’s from. Either stay in Willowdale as Raina or return to Goldenleaf as the only remaining heir to King Favian.
