Ola Barbara! Those cliffs look magnificent and I like how you have used the big medium and small contrat. The oblique beach line creates a dramatic thrust that keeps you in the picture. your use of browns is very convincing and true to the nature of the landscape in that area. I remember seeing the 'red mountains' of Georgia O'Keefe's paintings and wondering if they could be real -they were. Your sky's are getting so good and so spontaneous. You have also mastered that transparent water look. Skills are definitely moving forward. I do like your holiday icons: the beach mat,the mysterious fisherperson, the wispy grey swimmers, the tidy little craft in the water, the ubiquitous sombrero, and what looks like a tea pot next to the beach mat. All personal references that make this a holiday painting. But that sky is a real mover for me. Great job Barbara. Adios.
