The cover piece is made with plastic wrap obscuring the “city.”  

I used an open cookie cutter to make a glowing buffalo. The ring around the moon (a quarter) is the top of a clear plastic container top with the center cut out.

 

I made a slurry of turmeric and water and applied it to the paper before adding the chemicals.  Used parsley. 

3rd image, I spattered the paper with water using my fingers.
