Watercolour Mountains

Watercolour Mountains - student project

Hello Anna,

thank you so much for this class.

I am an absolute beginner, having started to play with watercolour last October, with no real foundations (and practically unable to draw). So I am just trying to learn as a go along and practice what I can.  I am attaching my first attempt. I watched the class twice then gave it a go whilst again listening and watching.

My results are very basic, like my skills, but I really enjoyed it and I am hoping you will have more lessons  on mountains and other subjects you favour. For me the key fundamental I had to get my head around when I picked up the watercolours is negative painting and I love subjects that have a lot of white. Plus I love mountains! Please keep teaching!! I will keep practicing :)

For the project I used W&N Cotman colours (tried to keep to yours but I don’t have all of them) and Frisk 300-100% Cotton/Cold Press. I used Fuumuui Sable Round 10 and Flat 10 plus Cotman Round 2.

Any feedback welcome…. I have so much learning to do.
