Yay Carmen!! It’s fantastic to see you trying out palette knife techniques with intention! That’s the beauty of experimenting—sometimes what starts as a ‘happy accident’ turns into something you can really refine. I totally get how addictive palette knife painting can be, especially when it comes to the texture and boldness you can create.  Keep going, you're doing great! Can't wait to see how it evolves and that red one is fire!

Carmen, these are fantastic! Love the gold peeking thru the darker piece, and the depth you created is off the charts!  Super bold and definitely has the wow factor!

Well done Carmen. The textures are fantastic. Beautiful.

I never would have thought to use a palette knife for watercolor, except maybe for scratch techniques.  You got some beautiful textures and contrast.  I love the value range of the green one and those distant trees that just fade into the back.  And the orange one is so bold and vibrant.

Didn't even know you could use a palette knife for watercolor:( but it looks fantastic Carmen very striking:)

Glad you like the new additions. It is freeing to do them as you dont know what to expect (like most of my paintings!). I too like that pinkish one, mysterious forest with fog I guess...that was indigo.

I thought of you when I saw this class post, Carmen. I hoped you would jump on it! Your palette knife work is so good! I love the textures you achieved in both pieces; they are really striking. :)

My first tries. I have done something like these before but not intentionally! Could be addictive as I love acrylic palette knife paintings.
My red one may look different tomorrow after paint settles in.
