Botanical Illustration Basics: Watercolor vs Acrylic

Dear Carla! Congratulations on such a successful project! Very beautiful, and I really love the vibe you've created with paint splattering, feels so unique. Both watercolor and gouache are amazing! Detailed, smooth, both illustrations look full of life and color!

Dear Carla, this is so beautiful and delicate! The plants just pop up from the paper. The level of detail, colors, volume - everything is stunning! Also, the presentation is gorgeous, I love this vintage vibe that you created in your illustrations. Really great job. I think that gouache is somewhere in the middle between watercolor and acrylic, so just go for if it your intuition chooses gouache. Good luck and I can’t wait to see what you create!
