I used watercolor for the background and used white gouache to define the edges

Initially, I did a watercolor wash using the negative technique for the white areas of the flowers. I used various shades of cool greens and turquoise.

Later added more leaves and darker tones around the flowers to add depth to the bush .

Now I came back to flowers working on the center with golden and brown colors and shades of grey for petals.

Finally defined the flower edges with gouache.
