Love this pattern! I have almost been on Society6 for about a year now. Happy to see that waiting creates success! I only made a few sales but learned a lot from Cat's videos! I am also on Redbubble and Liveheroes.

Love your work, Kit! Just followed you on Spoonflower. Hoping to get a shop going there - how have your sales been there?

Thanks Jennifer! I launched 30 + pattern designs on Spoonflower in January (about 2 months ago) and am yet to have any sales. I'm hoping they will eventually pick up as I'm on there longer, because you have to pay $6 + shipping for a swatch of each design before you can sell it... So I have to make back over $200 on that site before it's worth my investment to do any more.

Redbubble is a good alternative because you don't have to pay anything to upload to it.

I am only using Society6.  Is there a reason to use more than a few online merchandisers? #imjuststartingout Beautiful work!

Hi Renee - The more places you're on, the more income sources you have. It makes sense to diversify. I started on just Redbubble then started expanding to other sites.

Is it okay to sell the same work on multiple platforms?

Thanks Cat! The first few seamless patterns took me AGES and hurt my brain a bit... but now I've got the hang of it things are a lot faster (of course that depends on how much editing the original scan needs!)

Haha, I feel like that's the story of my life when it comes to learning new tricks in Photoshop! Some stuff can be tricky to get the hang of, but once you get it, it's 100% worth it!

This is my "wonderland flowers" pattern which I originally painted in watercolors, removed the background and made it a seamless pattern in photoshop, then uploaded to Society6 + Redbubble + Spoonflower + Roostery in three different color variations.
