Watercolor Powders
This newer sample used the magenta and yellow Color Burst powders. I was disappointed how quickly they blended as I put the powder down first and spritzed over the powder. I came in on top with raspberry gelato, white posca, India ink, and a peerless color for the horizontal lines. I then added various dots with a stencil and pearl orange yellow acrylic paint.

My large example was one full piece done with violet and phtalo green Color Burst powders on Fabriano 1264 paper. Wow these colors are so bright and I didn't think that I used that much powder. I sprinkled the powder and then spritzed over it. I ended up tilting the board and spritzing more to get the pigment to move on the paper. I added some clean water drops and some salt after using the end of my paint brush to create some subtle mark making. I can't decide if I want to add more to this so I am enjoying it as it is for the moment.

This sample is Color Burst water colour powder (violet and alizarin crimson) on Fabriano 1264 watercolor paper with some added salt for texture. I have added white posco pen dots, - starting to really love these) and copper gold acrylic paint with a stencil. The horizontal lines are gelatos which I discovered in a drawer. These colours are raspberry and passion fruit. This is one of two that I used these same colours and techniques for. I have a couple more in the works since I am having so much fun. Question - do you see the full image if you click on the thumbnail or do you only see that when it is added here?
