Watercolor Postcards

I got inspired to paint some watercolor postcards to better enjoy my recent trip to a desert state park. Then, I chose a few of my favorite landscape images from my photo reel.

I decided to paint them in the same color palette so I could seamlessly go from one painting to the next, and so they would look beautiful as a collection.

I got together my usual watercolor supplies plus some 4" x 6" postcard sized watercolor paper.

I sketched out 3 paintings on my postcard watercolor paper.

Then I painted the first one, using my quick on-the-go painting tips to simplify the process.

I painted the second one.

Then I painted the third one.

Now I have some beautiful postcards to help me remember my trip in a more meaningful way. It was so much fun, that I will definitely be doing this for future trips!
