Watercolor Mastery: Paint Realistic BLACK Animals w/Wet on Wet and Lifting - image 1 - student project

I was studying where different underpainting colors whould go. It is very interesting that black cats also have stripes, spots and patterns with darker fur and some lighter areas where the coat appears more brown than black. Black reflects pink, purple, blue and green in the highlight areas. Shadow is mostly reddish brown with a bit purple in it. I overexposed and  oversatureted the picture so I could see what is really going on! Thank you for a great advices! So much more to learn from you!
