Watercolor Landscapes for Beginners: 3 Simple Rules You Need to Know

Hi Noe, your paintings are beautiful, as always! I love the bright green shade you used for the hills, and you really made it look so realistic, like I'm looking at this landscape in real life. I love how 3-dimensional it looks! The sunset is also gorgeous. Thank you for mentioning the paper. I saw in your other project with waves practice different types of paper and was curious how it would affect the result. I'm trying to choose cotton paper when I want a smoother gradient, but even on cellulose (wood pulp) you have a great result!

Thanks so much for your feedback, Ale! Yes, paper is definitely very important. Like any good beginner, when I started painting, I bought a lot of cellulose paper with the mistaken idea that "when I learn to paint, I'll switch to cotton"... big mistake. And now, of course, I have all that paper that I occasionally challenge myself to see what results I can get, haha. Anyway, I downloaded all the references you shared as resources, and I want to try another landscape on my own (something I find really difficult).

Oh, I would love to see your experiments in landscapes with some of the references I attached, please, share if you paint. I also saved them for my practice later 😊
