Funny thing, the washes looked absolutely perfect until I took a picture, then all of a sudden I saw that the pink was pretty blotchy. I actually like taking pictures of whatever Throughout the process as it allows me to see all these imperfections. I guess this is the lazy man's version of "take a few steps back and look at your work".

Regarding the final project, I had to do it twice. First one I did it on Hot press piece of paper, and I've used this paper only for 2.5 pieces previously, and the paper being 100% cotton i expected it to behave adequately, but it turned out to be a complete mess. The paper wouldn't even allow to soften the edges and the result just looked super flat.

So today I took my usual sketchbook out and started from scratch.

and even though the second piece took me only about 20 minutes to do, the results are much better, at least in my own opinion.
