Warm ups and Final Painting
I'm struggling with getting the soft edges in the warm up exercises. I seem to be unable to guage the dampness of the paper right.
In the final painting I struggled quite a bit with the reflections. I also discovered that my indigo (winsor and newton professional half pan) is not a true-neutral indigo. So it kept turning green whenever it hit burnt sienna. I tried switching to payne's grey and van dyke brown for the land. I also don't quite like how textured the paper in my journal is. I will try this again with different paper and pigments.
Overall a very fun project. I enjoyed it a lot. It was just the right amount of challenging for me :) Thank you @FrancoiseBlayac
Edit: + another version of the painting. I used the reference image and water to try and create the fog in the valleys kinda effect.
