I cannot use acrylics, so this is cheap gouache. 

I’ve been very intimidated by pet portraits and I appreciated all your directions, tips, loose painting, but focus on the necessary values. It was tricky knowing my values cause the gouache dries lighter… but I think a higher quality gouache might help with color accuracy.
