I've always wanted to create my own portfolio with my own personal branding. At this time of writing, I've committed myself to use Vue.js as my front-end framework of preference. I also wanted to know how Github pages work. So with this simple website, I was able to achieve that. I even registered my own personal domain to make it even more personal.
