This was fun and useful. I liked that I had to focus to match the colours, not always successfully. And have found myself looking at and for colours in a different way. The last line of my palettes was from tiles and paint colours in a local arcade.

My favourite one is the 7 colour palette. And I used it to make the larger bird image.

I decided to actually apply the palettes in some pieces and got quite a bit from this. The little ones were a combo of watercolour (didn't work well on the paper I was using) with colour pencil over the top. Learnt about proportion of colours in relation to each other.

The class got me using colour pencils in a more thoughtful way with the required layering.
