With this latest image I came up with a different composition using the different tropical items. I went quite a bit lighter on the sky with loads of puffy clouds.

For these I used some acrylics and acrylic gouache I had on hand. Thanks for the great instruction. On my next piece I hope to do a bit better on the trees. But overall I’m happy with my progress on a beach scene. It’s going off to my mom for Mother’s Day.
