Unsolicited Advice and Commentary

Title: Unsolicited Advice and Commentary
Target Audience
- Black women—but really all women.
- College students
- 20-somethings
- 30-somethings
I have an idea to start a podcast where I make commentary and give advice on various social situations and current events. My sister will be my co-host and we will have a 15-30-minute weekly show. The target audience for my podcast will be young people (women, especially) from college-aged to our age, roughly 35. Age is not so important as current life circumstances. We are in no way qualified to give advice, so listeners are encouraged to take it with a grain of salt.
I decided to make this podcast because I saw that sooo many people were producing content that I may not have been necessarily interested in, but someone was. I figure someone may be interested in what I have to say. I started a blog with the same name of this podcast some years ago, but I wasn’t consistent with producing content and posting. I also like the idea that podcast feels more robust than a blog and I would have more of an opportunity to show my personality. It’s also a great opportunity to spend more time with my sister and just talk.
Each show will start off with our advice and commentary on Hot Topics and Current Events, followed by diving into the show topic, and we would also like to take listener letters to advise/comment on every week.
Episodes:
1. Introduction/What is Social Media doing to us?
Commentary on the way social media has affected our real life social interactions.
2. Regular people need life managers
I have a theory that people need managers just like actors, singers, artists, etc. Someone to tell them what to do in life and how to live.
3. The war on boring/basic people
Social media has pushed us into a space where normal is lame! I want to talk about it and defend Regular and Mediocrity.
4. Who let me be a parent?
Our experiences and observations on parenting
