Have you been feeling scared and saddened by the devastating news about gun violence we regularly see in America? Me too.

That's why I wanted to learn more about the statistics and facts behind escalating gun violence. Is it really getting worse? How does U.S. violence compare to other country's violence? What can we do to make our communities stronger and safer even though we feel helpless?

 

I learned a lot by doing some research. Then I created these eight sketches to express the facts while considering how I could make the visuals interesting for my audience.

I then turned those sketches into infographics featured on these designs. My goal is that people learn these facts and feel empowered to help their community. And not feel so hopeless.
