Black Dog Twig: A Free-Flow Watercolour Masterclass with Jane Davies

Lovely! I love how you maintained the light and what a beautiful eye!  Well done!

A beautiful dog, the eyes and nose looks alive! Very well done Christine!

Fabulous, Christine! I feel like I can touch him through the screen and I looove those beautiful warm tones in his skin and that soulful eye looking right at me. :)

Beautiful eye, Christine! I love your color transitions in her face. Such a lovely illustrative style here. Jane and Twig adventures.

Oh my word, Christine, this is brilliant. You've so captured her look and expression. It really makes me smile 🥰Fabulous blending on the face. What orange did you use? It's really great; it has lovely warmth and richness.  My one tiny observation is that her chin has got a little lost. You could easily define it by wetting the back ear down again and leaving room for the chin, if that makes sense.I wonder if it's something I didn't explain very well, as the other project has done something similar!

Thank  you  Jane...its aussie red gold  D/S..no you explained it great ,l think it's us just hoping  Twig would turn out like  your's.😂..I'm  definitely  going to give it a go as this was my first  go and can see where I've  made  mistakes..its a long  time  since  I've  done  one  of your classes  and was in a bit of a tissie  over paint  flying  everywhere 😀 😄 thank  you  Jane 🧡

Not  sure if  it helps  but I think  it could  be the template...maybe  it needs  a squiggly  line  to show  the chin...I'm not able  to have the pic next to me on the computer when  I'm painting...  if this  helps 🤔

You know what that is my fault, because it doesn’t show her chin on the reference photo only in my imagination 😂

Oh well you  can't be perfect  all the time  😂😂😂

Christine, this is wonderful! Love your painting technique on this, and especially love the beautiful eye. This is really stunning,  well done!

Teresa  thank you  kindly, its a long time  since  I've  done  one of Jane's  classes, so it was a little  strange  watching  paint  flying  everywhere 😀

What a great painting.  I love the colors that you used and the way they blend together.

Well look at you! Love the face eye and wet nose so real.

Thanks  Carmen  a bit of time  here and there perfect  for Jane's  class 😂

I agree with Teresa and Bharti. Wonderful and awesome. The colours and the texture  are so beautiful.  Love   the eye

Oh my goodness Christine, this is WONDERFUL!  Love the tender look you captured in her eyes and love the texture of the fur.  Wow!
