Only 16min left, but that’s gonna take me about 40 minutes to finish. This way is really different from my typical block in style, but I’m really interested in learning how to shade with the asaro method. I got one of the 3D asaro heads, but it’s a little confusing to me…the really angled side at least.  My guy is looking more female than male, but man was I getting excited when I places lines where they needed to be, despite placing my Loomis lines not exactly where they needed to be.  There was definitely erasing. I’ll upload again once I finish. I sketched this earlier today, but the charcoal powder didn’t lay on top of the matte graphite like I wanted so yeah, it didn’t turn out how I wanted. Anyway. I’m hoping I got enough information to sketch again and paint with gouache. We’ll see. Please do a full face with Asaro shading!!  I’ll be doing lots more of these.  Blocking in is great for painting, but I really like pencil sketching and want to learn all the head tilts that I struggle with.
