Tropical Leaves in Gouache: Master Your Drawing and Painting Skills

Hey, Maggie, your gouache botanical illustration is beautiful! You've created some very interesting textures with those light brushstroke, you've described so well the shape of the leaf! And those middle turquoise nuances are so important, its so great that you've placed those too! Congratulations! :)

Thank you so much,  Cristina! That mid tone dried a lot darker than I was expecting while I mixed my next shade;  I'm pleasantly surprised you could still pick it out in there. :) Much appreciated!!

Hi Maggie! I love the leave that I can see on the cover!! The contrast of the dark green and light green with the central vein on top gives it So much volume!!! I love it's shape as well and how its position to one side, it looks super dynamic. Love it !There's a message with a broken image icon that says Tropical Leaves! - image 1 - student project. I think that the image didn't upload properly, for if you want to give it another go :) Can't wait to see the other leaves!!

Sylvia,  I'm touched by your response,  thank you very much!  :) I've finally gotten around to updating my project post to include the broken attachments. Thank you for pointing out that it hasn't worked, I was completely oblivious to that fact!
